Radar Gun Image From RIOC

According to RIOC:
SPEED ENFORCEMENT

The Roosevelt Island Public Safety Department will be enforcing the Speed Limit on the Island with the use of Radar. Violators will be issued Speeding Tickets, which can result in loss of points on a Driver’s License.

PLEASE OBEY THE SPEED LIMIT ON THE ISLAND.
THANK YOU.
What do you think - would this driver taking a quick tour around Roosevelt Island been pulled over for speeding?

Ok, even though we know that segment was sped up, the driver had no regard for the Stop Signs on the island either.

I think it's good that Public Safety will be enforcing Speed here on Roosevelt Island.

Absolutely agree.

It would also be good to enfore the "No U-turn" signage incl PSD itself when not "on call".

Safety would be further improved by enforcing parking rules on Main St and thereby reduce double parking.

Then tell PSD to stop at the pedestrian crossings instead of speeding through them.

Who gets to write tickets to the PSD when they blow through all the stops and crosswalks up and down Main St. regularly. They are the only ones I ever see that are driving dangerously.
