I was distressed to notice some crumbling of the edges of the porch boards of Blackwell House recently.

I certainly hope RIOC votes to allocate money to restore this portion of Blackwell House.

RIOC: Why not also restore the interior of Blackwell House - perhaps to house the RIHS? Blackwell House could house historic exhibits relating to RI/NYC history/ecology/etc and form another wonderful cultural focus for RI, across Blackwell Plaza from the future home of our library!

The Korean War ended over 60 years ago, but, one of the guys you served with was busted last month in Pyongyang as he was about to take off to return to the States after a 9-day visit to North Korea. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/524132/20131121/north-korea-arrest-war-vet-merrill-newman.htm

I think a Korean pavilion in Southpoint Park might be a nice expression of Korean culture in the US, and also add a spark of excitement to RI.
