Re: the water main break
nice that she gets around to mentioning it in this recap of her WIRE message. Where the hell was she on Monday 1/20 and Tuesday 1/21 when people had problems with their water? And does she really believe or is she trying to push the idea that the water is safe...because really it is not. Who is this woman kidding? There is junk in the water and we do not know what it is!

This is really sad, but I would like to believe there are honest public servants on Roosevelt Island. I hope one bad apple is just that.

One bad apple? How 'bout that bastion of propriety Shane, who secretly signed a very long term agreement with the tennis folks to allow the bubble to stay here for a pittance in rent, then takes a job with them after he is booted from his job as RIOC pres.

As long as these jobs are handed out to patronage cronies, there will be plenty of rotten fruit.

There was no secret agreement to extend the License for the Tennis Bubble next to the Tram. The agreement was publicly discussed and approved by the RIOC Board in 2009.

I thought at the time and still do that this was a very bad deal for Roosevelt Island but it certainly was not done in secret.

Here are previous posts on subject.

Beg to Differ. Shane made it a "License Agreement" rather than a

"Lease Agreement" . As such, he could ram this goody thru without ANY approval by the board. I believe the agreement runs at least thru 2050. Some "license". This deal is a corrupt as anything I can imagine.

And how about Leslie Torres conveniently joining H-R after her stint as RIOC Pres - no doubt at a much higher rate of pay - approving many deals favorable to Kramer! If that isn't an example of "pay to play" I don't know what is!
