The Queens Times Ledger published a story today with this headline:
Roosevelt Island deli robbed of $30K: Police
and reported:
Police from the 114th Precinct were asking for the public’s help in finding suspects wanted in the robbery of a deli on Roosevelt Island, the NYPD said....
Earlier today, I asked Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC) Public Safety Director Jack McManus:
Was there a robbery at Roosevelt Island deli with $30 Thousand stolen.

Here's link to a Queens Times Ledger article that says so.
Mr. McManus replied:
The Times Ledger printed an article this morning regarding a robbery at the En-Express Deli on April 12th, 2014. The En-Express Deli is on Vernon Boulevard in Astoria, not on Roosevelt Island. If you receive any inquiries, this robbery did not take place on Roosevelt Island. For further information on this event, please contact the NYPD.
