Last week I attended a private art showing hosted by Chelsea Gallery owner Paul Calendrillo at his Roosevelt Island apartment.

I spoke with Mr. Calendrillo about his gallery and future curating plans for events on Roosevelt Island as well as with one of the artists he represents, Stephen Hall, who talked about his work All Screwed Up that was part of the evening's show.

Here's what they had to say.

More information on Paul Calendrillo Fine Art and the artists he represents available at his web site.

It appears that neither of the proposed bus route extensions go to Queens Plaza transit hub. To me, this is not a good thing. Queens Plaza area is a hub in many ways. I hope the MTA, if it implements the suggestions in the study, considers having at least one of the bus lines that will serve RI, go to Queens Plaza as well.

CK: Yes, part of the idea was to decentralize the Queens Plaza hub, it is too complex now.

OK, understood. I'll study the proposed routes side-by-side with a subway map to see where they connect with trains. You are right that if the buses still connect with trains - just not at Queens Plaza - then what is the difference?
