"But - shouldn't content trump style?"

I don't think I have to explain to you that there is more than content to effective communication, right?

YetAnotherRIer: blunt/crisp to avoid misinterpretations, framing risk as deposition questions, etc. helps RIOC/etc. listen best. People who actively ignore (RIOC execs etc.) are the ones who insist that it must be presented on a Silver Platter before they listen.

Competent executives and managers don't wait for the Silver Platter: if there is bad news, they want to know it right away; even if it is presented inelegantly, they want to tease out the issue, not look for an excuse to ignore (which is RIOC Standard Operating Procedure for the present RIOC administration).

And don't worry, I and others have already tried many experiments on how well RIOC listens ... they actively ignore, they have their gatekeepers to select who to listen/avoid. Incompetent executive management, and incompetent board oversight.

I guess you really think you are getting things done.
