Part 1 - Introduction to the seminar including discussion of Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) products and Interest Rates.
Part 2 - Discussion of down payment, fixed and variable rates, appraisals, points, application process and individual Roosevelt Island building financing requirements.
Part 3 - Fixed and Variable rate loans, credit reports and credit scores, Fannie May and Freddie Mac Loans. Mr Ruskiewicz noted that Amalgamated Bank does not sell the mortgages it makes in the secondary market but holds on to the mortgage for the life of the loan.
Part 4 - End of the mortgage seminar.

Sheldon Silver felt he was untouchable and he grew a extremely arrogant. Hopefully he can now he will reap what he has sown as justice will be served.
Gov. Cuomo has to be nervous this is just the beginning. We can only hope this
will play out on Roosevelt Island.
What the Moreland Commission started, maybe Preet Bharara will finish. Let the chips fall will they may - I agree Gov. Cuomo must be nervous; however, elected office should not be a ticket to amassing a private fortune.
I'm also wondering about the possible significance timing of the departure of Schwartz just before the arrest of Silver. Is Schwartz next in line for scrutiny - and if so, is that why Gov. Cuomo wanted him out of the office in case Schwartz needs to answer questions and so forth?
I fully trust Mr. Bharara will use his power to clean up Albany to the best of his ability despite Schwartz's attempt to silence his mission. Schwartz can run but he surely won't be able to hide for too long. Let Sheldon get what he deserves and soon many will follow.
Can anyone tell me why Wholesome Factory thinks a baguette should be wrapped in plastic? The bread is bad enough to begin with; plastic turns it into marshmallow. I never thought that Gristede's would serve as a model for anything good, but at least they are sourcing from a decent bakery lately and keep the bread properly in a rack so they crust doesn't get soggy. I'm so sorr that it was just too cold to walk to Gristede's tonight.
Even M&D doesn't wrap its French/Italian bread in plastic. I've always seen these breads sold in paper bags - never heard of them wrapped in plastic.

Thoughts
from a walk around RI
I really love walking around Roosevelt Island but every time when I pass by the
Cooler Water Hospitals rear area facing Astoria, I can’t understand why this
needs to look so shabby.
However, not enough if you walk further along the service area of RIOC (also
facing Astoria) everybody faces the mess of old metal and garbage containers
trough the defect fence (with those green metal stripes that are flying around
when it is windy). It cannot be such an effort to build a proper view protected
fence there.
Than you walk further and pass by the ugly windows that lose their adhesive grey
plastic foils behind Gristedes and all the stuff that is covered by the
portable fences there…. Finally, the area under Queensborough Bridge should
also be mentioned, it also looks very shabby, but perhaps this will change with
the ongoing construction works for Cornell Tech.
… So there
are really some areas that could easily be improved without a huge effort….
I totally agree, these areas look terrible.

is again a problem. The bicycle lanes were clear of gravel for many months and now are again posing a hazardous condition for bicyclists.
DOT and RIOC have to cooperate to fix this perennial problem.
