Wendy Hersh reports on behalf of the Roosevelt Island Disabled Association and the Carter Burden Center about the Roosevelt Island Fresh Food For Seniors Program

sponsored by Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer. According to Ms. Hersh:
Due to Labor Day ordering dates have changed for next week.

Wednesday 8/31, between 1 PM and 5 PM, all who paid for the Senior Fresh Food shopping bags will be able to pick them up at the senior center.

If you wish to participate in our next delivery date of 9/14, we will taking orders today. Otherwise a table will be set up in the senior center on Tuesday 9/6 and Wednesday 9/7 from 11 am to 1 pm in order for you to place your orders. All bags are $8.

Unfortunately we don't know what fruits and vegetables are in the bags ahead of time. Thanks again for your support. We only have (5) more deliveries before the end of the program for this year.

If we don't see you we would like to wish you a Happy Labor Day.
