The NY Post reported that an eighteen year old male jumped from the Queenboro Bridge into the East River between Queens and Roosevelt Island yesterday - and survived.

The bridge jumper was spotted by a man walking dogs on Roosevelt Island. According to the NY Post:
...Cardozo, 33, was walking dogs on Roosevelt Island when he saw the man fall in the distance. He called 911 and signaled the passing ferry boat.

“The NYC ferry was coming from Brooklyn,” Cardozo recalled to the Post. “Not sure if they saw us or not, but they turned around and tried to save him.”...
The NY Post adds that the teenager was removed from the East River by a passing ferry, brought to Roosevelt Island, picked up by EMS and taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
