No Roosevelt Island F Train Service From Manhattan This Weekend -Tram Operating On Rush Hour Schedule


According to the MTA:
F Jamaica-bound trains run via the M from 47-50 Sts to Roosevelt Av

Weekend, 9:45 PM Fri to 5 AM Mon, May 8 - 11

No Jamaica-bound service at 57 St, Lexington Av/63 St, Roosevelt Island and 21 St-Queensbridge.
That's 3 straight weekends without Roosevelt Island F Train service from Manhattan.

The Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC) adds:
Please be advised that the MTA has issued a weekend service advisory for the F train, which may affect travel plans. The Tram will run on a rush hour schedule from 7:00 AM until 10:00 PM to accommodate any increase in traffic. Please plan your travel accordingly and visit http://mta.info/weekender or call 511 for more information.

Oh my! This has to stop... every driver that doesn't live in Roosevelt Island knows that they can speed, take illegal U turns, not stop at zebras, etc cause PSD does NOTHING about it.....
It's so sad that this happened, specially with a baby is involved AND the grandma.
And no charges? are you kidding me?? where's NYPD?? no show or PSD didn't call NYPD cause there was no blood!!!
come on!! for sure the car service suv has speeding and didn't want to wait for grandma to reach the sidewalk

It may be time to reconsider traffic lights with cameras. It may be necessary now due to the increased traffic.

The worst are the back roads that were originally designed as service rds & are now simply used by drivers that don't want to be bothered with any stop signs @ all.
