Reported yesterday afternoon on kids playing in the Blackwell Park Water Fountain and ending the night with the Riverwalk Commons Sprinklers spraying during nighttime rain storm. Nobody playing in the Riverwalk Commons Sprinklers tonight though.

This is something that has bothered me for years, the automatic sprinklers wasting water no matter what the weather, even in pouring rain. It is indicative of RIOC's attitude toward money and the environment, that they take the easy senseless route, no matter what the cost. Is there any way to get them to do the right thing and turn the sprinkler's on when needed, not when not?
