Roosevelt Island Outdoor Summer Movie This Saturday and Sunday At Southpoint Park - Showing Forest Gump and Kung Fu Panda
The Roosevelt Island Summer Outdoor Movie Series continues this weekend at Southpoint Park with Forest Gump showing on Saturday and Kung Fu Panda on Sunday evening. RIOC Community Relations Specialist Erica Wilder has the details:
If you haven't made plans for this weekend, I have some great news for you that will surely make your day. This weekend, we will be showing movies back to back at Southpoint Park on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Anna Rose and her band will perform live at 6:30pm followed by the feature film "Forrest Gump". You can listen to Anna's music at annarosemusic.com. On Sunday, bring the kids out to see the hilarious "Kung Fu Panda". Both movies will begin at 8:05 pm. Take a look at the flyer for more details.
There will be a "Special Red Bus" available in front of the Chapel near 543 Main Street starting at 7pm. The bus will be designated for folks who can not make the trip down to the park by foot or for those who would just like to get closer to the main gate without exerting much effort. After the completion of the movie, transportation will be available outside the main gate of the park to take attendees back to Main street. Hope to see you there!Image of New York City and East River Waterfront View during prior Southpoint Park Movie Night from Fresh Air Flicks
