RIRA President's Report On Roosevelt Island Bike Share, Meeting With RIOC Directors, Main Street Retail, Library Funding, Annual Blood Drive & More

Below is Roosevelt Island Residents Association (RIRA) President Matt Katz report to the May 2 Common Council. Among the topics Mr. Katz addressed were:

• Community Planning Board 8 Bike Sharing discussion (will have more on this in subsequent post)
• Requesting RIOC Board Members to meet with residents following RIOC May 24 Board Meeting (some difficulty with RIOC arranging this)
• Certificate of Appreciation From Roosevelt Island Chamber of Commerce for RIRA's participation in the Holiday Lights Program
• Senior Center Flea Market
• Silicon City Coalition
• Main Street Retail and concern that proposed Library for 504 Main Street may not get fully funded and
• annual RIRA Blood Drive
