Don't be so sure.

Tabling/removing them was a good tactical move insofar as had the motions not been canceled, they would let to a great deal of strife. They were never intended as actual motions that a body such as RIRA might have passed. They were intended to open a can of worms - trigger a disagreeable discussion.

At least they were filed - symbolic protest motions perhaps. Those that took them seriously are the ones that need to have their heads examined.

CK, I disagree: adding more absurdity to absurdity doesn't make for less absurdity. RIRA needed to get back to doing its regular business.

Helen submits motions and admits "they were never intended as actual motions". If RIRA exists purely to entertain it's members, it does not exist to serve the community. If RIRA permits its members to play these games, it will continue to lose credibility with islanders.

Is this a long-winded way of justifying your filing motions that you admit "were never intended as actual motions"?
