Impossible To Get On Manhattan Bound Roosevelt Island F Train From 8-9 AM Frustrated Residents Say - 8 Trains Go By And Not Able to Board

The Roosevelt Island twitterverse reports today on overcrowded morning F trains.

@MTA Passengers at the Roosevelt Island station have not been able to board Manhattan-bound F trains for about seven or eight trains now. Been waiting for 45 minutes to board

@NYCTSubway what's going on with the F? I'm here at Roosevelt Island and trains don't pass frequent enough an almost no one can hop on the train cars.

@NYCTSubway @MTA @NYTMetro Manhattan-bound F trains in Roosevelt Island are ridiculous in morning rush hours. Had to wait for 3 trains and they are not frequent. Please do something about this. Impossible to take a train from 8-9AM!!!

UPDATE 6:55 PM:

This has been this way for years.
The MTA has done nothing measurable to change this. Maybe shifting the M line to run to Roosevelt Island along with the existing F line might work. Something has to be done.
