As reported July 1, former Roosevelt Island resident Dominic Sciallo was inducted into the NY State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame for his service during World War 2.

Mr. Sciallo was honored last night during the Roosevelt Island Town Hall meeting with NYC Public Advocate Letitia James, NY State Senator Jose Serrano, NY State Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright and Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer.

Mr. Sciallo was honored for both service to his country during World War 2 as well as service to the Roosevelt Island community, particularly the Seniors Association, by NY State Senator Jose Serrano and his friends, Roosevelt Island residents Frank Gibbs and Delores Green.
