Update on Manhattan Park Water Main Shutdown

RIOC President Steve Shane provides this update concerning the water main shutdown and repair in front of 40 River Road.

DEP has just advised that it is taking over the excavation and repair at the northern end of Manhattan Park in Main Street effective Friday, including relocating the Con Edison cable, as necessary. Depending on what DEP finds on full excavation, the water shutoff may take place during the evening over the weekend. DEP prefers weekend shutoff because of the mandated impact at the school. Will advise as further information is available.
