Electrical Fire at Roosevelt Island Main Street Flower Shop - Nobody Injured

There was an electrical fire yesterday afternoon at the Roosevelt Island Main Street Flower Shop in Urban America's Eastwood (Roosevelt Landings) apartment complex. Fortunately, nobody was injured. According to the 12/2-4 Roosevelt Island 24 hour Public Safety Incident Report:
Fire- Smoke Condition- At the R.I. Flower Shop. PSD responded. EMS refused. No injuries. It appeared to be an electrical fire. PSD evacuated nearby areas. PSD with assistance of Urban American were able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading. FDNY responded and extinguished it.

This is the second fire at Eastwood (Roosevelt Landings) in recent months. In October, there was another Eastwood fire which resulted in the death of a resident although the cause of the fire was attributed to the deceased smoking in bed.
