According to the Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC):
Assembly Member Rebecca A. Seawright, RIOC, and NYC Economic Development Corporation present a community information session on the launch of the new ferry service on Roosevelt Island. Join us on Wednesday, August 23rd from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m at the Good Shepherd Community Center Auditorium (543 Main Street).The Roosevelt Island Ferry service on Astoria route is scheduled to begin August 29 - one week away.
Co-sponsored by Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, State Senator Jose Serrano, and Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer. City Council Member who helped make this possible could not be listed due to the NYC Primary Election blackout period.

The first weekday ferry leaves Astoria at 6:30 AM
