According to Transit Wireless:
Now 100 Manhattan and Queens underground stations have Transit Wireless WiFi. Transit Wireless WiFi will be available to all 279 underground stations by 2017. Each station will host and provide cellular services, too. Riders will be able to use Transit Wireless WiFi to stay connected underground through email, social media and apps....The Roosevelt Island Twitterverse asks:
@transitwireless when will @Rooseveltisland come online for cell service? The F is so unreliable; need to be able to get alerts underground.— Melissa A. Wade (@Honeybee22274) October 8, 2015
