No Surprise - Roosevelt Island's F Train 5th Slowest In NYC Transit System

According to an article in today's NY Post:
Two of every 10 of the city's subway trains run late, according to a new measure of on-time performance being adopted by the MTA.

... Under the measure, called "absolute on-time performance," 21.6 percent of all trains were five minutes or more late in August - compared to 9.8 percent under the old measuring system.

New York City Transit officials said the new system provides a more honest measure of trains' performance, and better reflects straphangers' experience. Metropolitan Transportation Authority watchdogs agree.

"It's a no-excuses kind of measure - did the train show up on time, or not? No excuses," said Bill Henderson of the Permanent Citizens Advisory Committee to the MTA, NYC Transit's parent agency.
Not surprising to Roosevelt Islanders, the F Train is the fifth most late subway line in the New York City Transit System.
