We are excited to announce that we are now accepting art project submissions for the FIGMENT NYC 2019 Weekend!
It's our 13th Season, and we're being hosted at a New Location!
In 2019, FIGMENT NYC will be a participatory arts event held at Lighthouse Park on Roosevelt Island and we couldn't be more excited!
The weekend festival showcases art that encourages participants to play, dance, sing, create, engage, experiment, and explore their environment. We accept submissions from artists of all ages and experience.
Our weekend project submissions operate on a rolling basis, which means that the sooner you apply, the sooner our curatorial team can accept your project. It also means we'll have more time to answer your questions and troubleshoot your project with you so that it meets the FIGMENT NYC guidelines.

Saturday, June 1st from 6pm-10pm FIGMENT NYC will be offering its first "FIGMENT AFTER DARK". Artists are welcome to submit projects that have a special interactivity when the lights go down. Once the stars are out we expect a variety of submissions from wearable art, LED based sculptures, art cars, blacklight reactive interactivity and more. Be part of the magic...

Roosevelt Island is a mixed income, racially diverse waterfront community situated in the East River of New York City between Manhattan and Queens and is jurisdictionally part of Manhattan. The Roosevelt Island Tramway, which connects Roosevelt Island to the rest of Manhattan, has become the iconic symbol of Roosevelt Island to its residents.
The Purpose of this Blog is to provide accurate and timely information about Roosevelt Island as well as a forum for residents to express opinions and engage in a dialogue to improve our community.
