Awesome video! I also heard you can fill out an application and hand it in to the Desk Officer.

I thought the video was - how should I put it without insulting anybody? - interesting. Showing officers arresting somebody or showing them run down hallways... Interesting.

You have to admit, they are much more professional outfit these days. The PSD of old could care less. At least now, they're doing more to show their worth.

I especially liked the clip with the Basketball Game with the Youth Center. That was a good look.

The work expands to fill the time. Now we know that the work expands to fill the space. If you didn't know anything about Roosevelt Island, you'd think it was a dangerous neighborhood. It wasn't before this group took over and, fortunately, it isn't now, even though they attempt to pump up the statistics (i.e., their justification for the excessive size of the force) with their "arrests."

Chief Guerra advises those interested in becoming RI PS officers "Have that person, or anyone interested, send me their resume. We do not have a vacancy at the moment, but we anticipate a few hires in the next few months."
