On April 14, this report was submitted to RI 311 See Click Fix:
No current prediction - is nextbus broken? I have been unable to track the Red Bus for several days.Yesterday, the Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC) issued this advisory:
Please be advised that we are experiencing difficulties with third party "real time" applications for the Red Bus.Here comes the Red Bus.
Applications such as "RBT Red Bus Tracking Application" and "RI Bus Tracker Android Application" are currently not operational.
We are diligently working with Next Bus and application developers to fix this issue as soon as possible.
In the interim, Real Time Red Bus information is available at www.nextbus.com
Sincerely,
Roosevelt Island Operating Corp Advisories Group

The Roosevelt Island Bus Tracker for Android just got an upgrade this morning and it shows the buses just fine now. Their positions are not quite lined up with the street map but it gives you an idea (Vinicius said that he has been struggling with the NextBus API). There is also another app in Google's Play Store called 'NextBus Realtime Bus Tracker' (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.idemfactor&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5pZGVtZmFjdG9yIl0.) which has been working pretty reliably w/o any problems.
How many idiots does it take to run a bus consistently in a circle around the Island? Why is it always so hard to manage this bus?
Does anyone know how many passengers the red bus carries each year? Also, how many senior citizens does it carry?
