No Roosevelt Island F Train Service To And From Manhattan This Weekend Due To MTA Electrical Work - Are We All Stuck On The Island This Weekend?
There will be no Roosevelt Island F Train service to and from Manhattan this weekend.Upon finding out we'll pretty much be stuck on #rooseveltisland all weekend due to no F train service and only one 🚠car, my hubs said it feels as if we are like the forgotten toys on the Island of Misfits in the Rudolph the Raindeer film. @RIOCny @MTA @Rooseveltisland pic.twitter.com/EhqvXbL9Mc— 🇫🇮FINNY❄️RKER 🇺🇸 (@NYTTYTTYY) November 16, 2017

I asked the MTA:
@NYCTSubway There is no Roosevelt Island F Train Service to or from Roosevelt Island this weekend. @MTA running free shuttle buses but no time schedule provided. What times will the Roosevelt Island Shuttle operate this weekend? Thanks— Roosevelt Islander (@Rooseveltisland) November 16, 2017
I asked RIOC President Susan Rosenthal:thank you but the Weekender does not give any time schedule for the Roosevelt Island Shuttle bus. Is it on the hour, half hour etc.— Roosevelt Islander (@Rooseveltisland) November 16, 2017
Do you know what the MTA free bus shuttle time schedule is during the weekend F Train service outage?Ms. Rosenthal replied:
Also, just want to confirm that the Red Bus Shuttle is on the hour from Roosevelt Island and Half Hour from Manhattan. Is that correct?
The MTA bus schedule ... will be on a continuous basis. Your statement re the Red Bus is confirmed.Roosevelt Island will have ferry service and a single tram cabin operating too.
The pretend Roosevelt Island subway station is for Netflix TV show Maniac currently filming here.Maybe we can pretend that an F train is running this weekend on #rooseveltisland at this pretend Roosevelt Island subway station.....sigh....@MTA pic.twitter.com/4X1MUuhNIp— 🇫🇮FINNY❄️RKER 🇺🇸 (@NYTTYTTYY) November 17, 2017
UPDATE 11/18:
@MTA are you serious? No #ftrain either direction at @Rooseveltisland and the #rooseveltislandtram running only 1 car? Ridiculous. #mtasucks

I remember when at a @Cb1Queens meeting the rep from RI said they did not want subway stopping on RI as it would bring undesirables.

UPDATE 8:40 PM:Seriously, we surveyed all the subways in the U.S. and the 20 biggest in the world. New York was the worst -- by far

Note: In this data, a train is considered "on time" unless it is more than five minutes late (!)https://t.co/VP4qlaeLEV pic.twitter.com/sQVDekQU9z
@MTA No F train to Roosevelt Island and one tram in operation. Crazy Tram Line in rain. Unacceptable #MTA pic.twitter.com/TLB0jlvZWf

Where are the MTA ambassadors guiding people? @MTA and @RIOC need to do more to impart info.
