You're invited to celebrate Manhattanhenge at the Roosevelt Island FDR Four Freedoms Park Thursday July 12.

According to FDR Four Freedoms Park:

Twice a year, the sun sets perfectly in line with the NYC street grid creating a unique event nicknamed “Manhattanhenge.” In celebration, FDR Four Freedoms Park will stay open late, offering a perfect location with which to observe this fun and beautiful phenomenon. The incredible Atomic Funk Project will flex their freedom of speech and expression muscles to perform a fantastic set of funk and soul classics, Wonder Photo Shop NYC will be onsite with an interactive photo installation, and many more surprises!

As part of the event, Archtober, NYC’s Architecture and Design Month, has invited @field_condition to judge the second annual #ArchtoberSelects photo competition. Share your Manhattanhenge photos with #ArchtoberSelects to win Archtober and NYC Ferry prizes and swag! Archtober will be accepting submissions until 3pm on Friday, July 13 and announcing the winners on Monday, July 16.
