Roosevelt Island Halloween Safety Day Wednesday October 22 And Children's Parade On Saturday October 25
RIOC Public Safety Director Keith Guerra send along the following message to the Roosevelt Island community:
I just wanted to share that the Department of Public Safety will be co-sponsoring a Halloween Safety Day with Safe Kids NYC and the NY Public Library - Roosevelt Island Branch. It will take place on Wednesday, October 22nd from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM in front of the Library on Main Street. All kids are welcome to stop by and pick up some safety tips and some goodies.

Remember that Saturday, October 25 will be the annual Roosevelt Island Halloween Parade starting at Blackwell House (12 PM) and walking north towards PS/IS 217 followed by a festive party. Roosevelt Island 360 has highlights from last year's parade.

That is a nice thing you guys are doing for the kids. First a Bicycle Safety Day with free helmets and now a Halloween Safety Day. Many people complain around here, but most of us appreciate the work you do.
