More Roosevelt Island Main Street Weekday Parking Spots Lost Until Further Notice Starting 8 AM Monday October 26 Due To Roosevelt Landings Local Law 11 Facade Work Says RIOC

According to the Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC):

Due to continued Urban American Management facade work, the one lane traffic diversion will now include the area from 529 through 579 Main St., beginning Monday, 10/26/15, at 8 AM until further notice.

As a result, there will be NO PARKING, STOPPING OR STANDING on the West side of Main St. between 529 Main St. and 579 Main St. Monday- Friday from 8 AM- 6 PM until further notice. Flag persons will be on site to redirect traffic during these times.

We appreciate your cooperation during this project. Advisories will be issued to update the public on future developments.

One Roosevelt Island Traffic Lane And No Parking Weekdays From 505 To 543 Main Street 8 AM - 6 PM Today Until Further Notice Due To Roosevelt Landings Building Facade Work

According to the Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC):

Urban American Management has advised that due to ongoing building facade work, Main St. will be reduced to one lane of traffic between 505 Main St. and 543 Main St. beginning Wednesday, 7/15/15, at 8 AM. In order to facilitate this work, there will be NO PARKING on the West side of Main St. between 505 Main St. and 543 Main St. Monday- Friday from 8 AM- 6 PM until further notice. Flag persons will be on site to redirect traffic during these times.

RIOC Advisories For Wednesday June 20 - Roosevelt Island Southpoint Park Closed For Herbicide Spraying and No Parking From 559 to 571 Main Street

Received the following advisories from the Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC) for Wednesday June 20.

On Wednesday June 20, 2012 Southpoint Park will be closed due to a scheduled herbicide spraying of the east and west areas.

A further notice will follow regarding Southpoint Park’s re-opening.

UPDATE 6/20 - RIOC adds:

This is a reminder that Southpoint Park will be closed today due to a scheduled herbicide spraying of the east and west areas of the park. Additional work will be performed in the park which includes cutting and removing weeds. The spraying is the second scheduled herbicide treatment to the area that was originally scheduled for earlier this spring. Please note that the organic herbicide is not harmful to wildlife or humans.

A further notice will follow regarding Southpoint Park’s re-opening.

RIOC Issues Weekend Roosevelt Island Parking Advisory Due To Expected Winter Snow Storm

Due to the upcoming winter storm please be advised there will be no parking on Main Street from 6:00 P.M. today, February 5th to 9:00 A.M. Monday, February 8th. This rule is in effect to allow for the passage of emergency vehicles and snow removal.
