Roosevelt Island Jobs Available - Teacher Assistants With Bright Horizons, Receptionist/Cashier At Tennis Club and Property Manager Legal Assistant

... We are currently hiring for Part-Time Teacher Assistants to work with children from 3 months through 6 years of age at one of our Full-Service centers on Roosevelt Island in Midtown Manhattan. Interested candidates must be willing to work a flexible 20 to 25 hour per week schedule Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, and this is a 12 month program. We will be holding an Open House on Thursday February 23rd at one of our centers in New York City. Interested and qualified candidates can apply online by clicking on the link below the requirements. Requirements For Teacher Assistant Positions:

Must be 18 years of age and a High School graduate
9 credits or more in Early Childhood Education preferred but not mandatory
Experience working with children ages 3 months through 6 years of age (preferably in a childcare or school setting)
Ability to effectively communicate with parents
Minimum of one to two years experience with appropriate age-group (preferred)
Flexible Part-Time schedule M-F between the hours of 7:30 am to 6:30 pm
Good communication and written skills

Also, the Roosevelt Island Racquet Club is looking for a receptionist/cashier. According to Craigslist:
Receptionist / cashier at Roosevelt Island Racquet Club. Must have good communication skills, phone skills, and computer skills. Careful and able to handle details. Evening shifts available. Full or part time. Knowledge of tennis is desirable, but not required.

Are you an experienced Payroll and Benefits Administator seeking a job here on Roosevelt Island. If so, there may be a job available for you with the Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC). According to Craigslist:
The Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC) is a New York State Agency with the responsibility for the development, maintenance, and safety of Roosevelt Island, NY. Located in the East River between Manhattan and Queens counties. Roosevelt Island is a vibrant community with residential housing, commercial properties and community recreation areas.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Payroll and Benefits Administrator will work under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, and will be responsible for the bi-weekly payroll processing, payroll system maintenance/update, benefit program enrollment and changes, and all associated invoice processing.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

Assisting in the planning and direction of the Corporations Human Resources programs.
Preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll through ADP PC Payroll system
Maintain and administer all Payroll functions, including receipt and audit of employee timekeeping: maintenance of accrual reports; input of all payroll data changes.
Orientation of all new-hire employees.
Coordination of employee benefit programs for the Corporation, including distribution and processing of all employee related forms and documents; communication with various benefit providers; updating employee population of impending changes or open enrollments.
Worker's compensation insurance claim processing.
Employee Leave, retirement and termination processing.
Benefit invoice audit and processing.
Respond to employee inquiries.
Maintenance of employee files....

Roosevelt Island Residents Seeking Answers On Bright Horizons Pre-School Tuition and Verizon Internet Service

Can you help a couple of Roosevelt Island neighbors with the following questions. A reader of this post asks:
Can anyone tell me what the tuition rates are at Bright Horizons? Thanks.
and another reader inquires:
I am new to 475 main as well, is there any way to get a internet only service? Verizon online still "thinks" they don't offer internet service to 475 main.
According to their web site, Bright Hoizons at the Octagon:
... is a full service early learning program for children ages six weeks through five years old, on a full-time and part-time basis. We are a full day program, open from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., serving fifty children....
No information on tuition rates. Can anyone help?

As to availability of Verizon FIOS at 475 Main Street, the Verizon Check Availability web page indicates that FIOS is not available at this location although it is available at both nearby 425 and 455 Main Street. Does anyone have any information on FIOS availability at 475 Main Street?
