Written material must now be authorized? Do we need to procure stamps for our documents from PSD to demonstrate that our writings have been approved?
no need to worry. the "condition" has been "corrected."
That's bizarre ... What could PSD possibly determine to be "unauthorized" written material? Seems like a great opportunity to request the full reports via FOIL.
I'm waiting for them to get into the copyright enforcement game.

i suspect PSD isn't making determinations of what's "unauthorized" based on the content of the written material. my assumption is that the incident involved somebody trying to post a handbill or something on a tree, lamp post, or the like, which is generally prohibited. at a minimum, this shows the need for more transparent descriptions of violations in the police blotter when we're talking about violations of obscure administrative code provisions.
Maybe advertising a comedy show?
I've been trying to get Public Safety to provide more complete descriptions of incidents for a long time. Also. asked for more info last week about the "unauthorized written material" incident but have not received any response yet.
It's obviously not psd, it's RIOC.
PSD is RIOC. They are one and the same.
What source documents would be the best target for a FOIL request? The individual PSD reports, or a consolidated log? I'd like to see what I'm able to get from them, but FOIL requires a very specifically targeted request.
So then who replys to the admin of the blog? Psd chief, or some person that is not the chief but works inside RIOC as some kind of spokesperson?
So, they are not one and the same.
Restaurant menus - like from pizzerias or Chinese restaurants in LIC? But is distributing menus against the law?
Assuming that they were lingering in the building sticking them on every door. Hence they were also trespassing.
