RIOC Approves RIRA Recommendations For Roosevelt Island Public Purpose Funds To 11 Local Non Profit Organizations In Total Amount Of $150 Thousand

The Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC) approved the allocation of Public Purpose Funds (PPF) recommendations made by the Roosevelt Island Residents Association (RIRA) PPF Committee

during yesterday's Board Meeting.

Below are the approved allocation of PPF to Roosevelt Island Non Profit organizations in the total amount of $150,000.

The PPF Committee (Dave Evans-Chair, Erin Feely-Nahem, and Frank Farance spent considerable time reviewing the applications of 11 candidates, deliberating, and eventually settling upon the recommended funding as per your list above. Given the somewhat sense of urgency and other challenges, I submitted the report (noting the President and Vice-President of the Common Council) directly to RIOC.
