According to the Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC):
The Young Adult Weekend Recreation Program at Sportspark is now forming a Basketball League that will begin on Friday, September 23rd. You must be a Roosevelt Island resident and 16-25 years of age to participate. I will agree with you, though, that it sounds like the sort of production RIRA would put together.
Why all the hate for trying to help the younger people stay out of trouble and in a structured environment ?
Let's face it, the only reason the kids in this neighborhood will ever go to this is if they overhear someone read the poster and mistake "ping pong and wii" for "bring bong for weed."
