Who Cares About Giants and Patriots? Roosevelt Island Has Our Own Super Bowl

Since the Packers lost to the Giants it has been difficult for me to get excited about football until, that is, I saw this sign posted on Island kiosks. Full contact, no pads football on Super Bowl Sunday here on Roosevelt Island where real men (and women?) play football the way it should be played. The only way it could be better is if it snows.

UPDATE 2/4 - Not only was this a full contact no pads game but the players wore spikes and mouth guards. They also joked about who would be the first one knocked out of the game and when. Tough Guys!
