Our Business Networking Group meets to exchange contacts and ideas. An update from the RIBN

The eighth meeting of the Roosevelt Island Business Networking Group welcomed about 12 members, ranging from herbal medicine specialist to residential cleaning services provider, at the Community Room of River cross on Tuesday evening, June 19th, for the bi-monthly meeting. As usual, the meeting kicked off with informal conversations and a business card exchange, as familiar faces and new members shared ideas about their respective small businesses and solo practices.

The member presentation by Chelsey Pendock of Innovision Advertising described the value of working with a small agency that can place ads in key broadcast outlets and publications.

The theme of "Everyone knows someone worth knowing" came into play after Debraj Addya spoke about his plan to sell sport fishing equipment online to markets in the northeast. In the group, two members had contacts in the fishing and online retail sectors that might prove helpful to Debraj as he develops his business.

Members are encouraged to meet with others in the group and consider what they have to offer and what they might need from a colleague. The Roosevelt Island Business Networking Group on LinkedIn continues to grow.
