Visionary filmmaker Christopher Nolan (Memento, The Dark Knight) writes and directs this psychological sci-fi action film about a thief who possesses the power to enter into the dreams of others. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) doesn't steal things, he steals ideas. By projecting himself deep into the subconscious of his targets, he can glean information that even the best computer hackers can't get to. In the world of corporate espionage, Cobb is the ultimate weapon. But even weapons have their weakness, and when Cobb loses everything, he's forced to embark on one final mission in a desperate quest for redemption....Here's the trailer.

I am sure there will be lots of people from the island there. Its free
Yes they all will be coming out of the wood work
No kidding. Do you really think off-islanders will schlep onto RI for this event? Of course it's mostly people from RI that go. Can't you upgrade the quality of your comments at least a little bit?
That is true. That's why they're showing the film - so residents can possibly have a fun night out. What's wrong with that?
Ok i am looking forward to this event . Cant wait ..looking to mingle with all the great people that live on the island .
And don' t forget to leave your claws at home before you head down there.
I met four people there. None of them are from New york. Just came here for high paying jobs at a time when real new yorkers cant get work
As the jam-packed tram opened its doors on the Manhattan platform after 11 pm on Saturday night, we saw most departing passengers were carrying blankets and folding chairs.
They disproved your prediction that few off-islanders would schlep over for a free movie.
Wow, Janet is the brightest bulb on the entire island, if not the planet! No-body on RI can match her so enlightening, witty, fantabulous posts! Everyone'd be lost without Janet's brains !
Hey, hey- it's smart too that Janet missed the yucko film!
Unfortunately not the case for me and all the other departing (fleeing?) folks she saw on the tram... Suckers!
But, ya know, any excuse to drink publicly will do!
Film was definitely not worth the schlep... yet, after drinking for a few hours any film looks good.. This is how so many relationships stay together since not everyone is as truly
magnificent as the beautiful and smart Janet!
Interesting nobody bothers a mostly white crowd/yuppies when they (decorously)
indulge in beer and wine publicly.. hmm...
Bill: Interesting that RI's great pundit Janet is always silent on these pressing social issues. Janet's big issue: The yuppies - those with the high paying jobs - who landed at RI's Southpoint Pk for a night of genteel drinking, then graciously, if somewhat unsteadily, decamped back to their tiny overpriced units on the UES, feeling they had a fun night out.. Haha!
Janet will never address your concerns about dwindling employment opportunities for the less-advantaged - as you say, the real New Yorkers. As long as the value of her Rivercross coop keeps rising, why should she care?
When I am elected to rioc I will stop the michell lama buy out of rivercross
I will keep these co op apartments affordable for the young people starting out in life
Those apartments better be really affordable, Bill! It seems that for some of us, making even 200K/yr isn't enough to live "comfortably" in NYC. http://observer.com/2013/08/the-misery-of-being-merely-upper-middle-class-the-haves-demand-sympathy-for-not-being-have-mores/
The garbage collecting routine by Wholesome market got to change! The inconsiderate garbage trucks will usually arrive between 1230a.m to 230a.m on the past few weeks, with their workers rolling the bins on loud screeching wheels on the side walk, and the annoying long compression sound of the truck leaving trail of dirty water on Main Street and loud engine sound of the compression can be heard and enough to wake people up from deep sleep at 2 a.m it's just not fair for Roosevelt Islanders who long pride itself with AVAC system and never arrange sitting on side walk unlike anywhere in NYC, why the community would allow the retailer to make their own schedule because the lack of regulations by RIOC on coordination and same time pick up for all establishments, and what about Fuji East, Starbucks, China1, Southtown, Riverwalk, if everyone hire their own waste management company truck coming to island everyday that is quite a lot of unnecessary traffic.
In addition, why can't RIOC charge all Hudson Related owned property and retail space the same fee as those privately owned waste management trucks who have no respect for the Roosevelt island community and Main Street. Our street unlike any other neighborhood in all of NYC hence these company should play by our rules and respect. Wholesome market owner also should acknowledge and act in good faith with sense of respect and consideration for the neighbors living above them and across from their store.
