Last Friday May 17, after many months and delays, the NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Water Tunnel Access Road fence
surrounding the Octagon Park picnic tables and BBQ Grills was removed
and the area opened up
for use.

The next day, on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, the Octagon Picnic Tables

There is currently a fence blocking access to the waterfront promenade adjacent to the Octagon Building
during the repair of the seawall in the area.
