Looks like the POMA folks did not get the message about not parking at the new Tram Station Bus Stop though.

I didn't like the new bus stop next to the kiosk! It is a long walk from the tram and includes two flight of stairs. Not good for a person who has difficulty walking.

Is it possible to board the bus behind the tram? When I arrived to Roosevelt Island by tram, the tram operator said that the bus stop is behind the kiosk, so it was unclear whether you can board the bus behind the tram.

I'd rather board the bus behind the tram and spend more time on the bus than limping to the bus stop next to the kiosk.

You can board the bus at the stop next to the tram or at the kiosk. Whichever you prefer. I asked.

It seems that the red bus is timed to be at the Kiosk stop when the tram arrives (or it will arrive there shortly).

Another blog stated that the estimated time going around the sportspark would only be a minute. So outside rush hours the Red Bus is virtually guaranteed to leave the tram area before the incoming tram arrives.
If there is only one bus running continuously outside rush hours, it looks as if incoming passen-gers will always have to wait for the next bus.
