Work Resumes On Final Phase Of Good Shepherd Plaza Restoration Project Starting March 5

Work will soon resume on the North Section of the Good Shepherd Plaza Restoration Project. According to the Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC):
Please be advised, on March 5, 2012, work is scheduled to commence on the final phase of the Good Shepherd Plaza Renovation Project. During this time, there will be limited access to the ADA ramp entrance of the Good Shepherd Community Center due to the demolition of the Plaza surface. A temporary walkway will be provided and will be located on the north side of the building to allow entry to the ramp and fire exit route. Entry into the Good Shepherd Community Center will also be available via the west side double door entrance of the building. In addition, the south ramp of Island House will be accessible and maintained at all times throughout the final phase of construction.Last November, RIOC Vice President of Operations Fernando Martinez took me on a tour of the Good Shepherd Plaza before reopening the South and East portion of the Plaza and explained the project:
