Update: Roosevelt Island Library has collected approximately 800 signed letters for the "Invest in Libraries" letter writing campaign.

Our goal is 1,000 letters. Please continue to sign letters at the branch and online here. "Invest in Libraries" T-Shirts are also available for $5 each in sizes M, L, XL, and XXL. (Small is sold out.) Thank you for your support and efforts!
Request: Please donate empty baby food jars to the Roosevelt Island Library for an upcoming craft in July. Our goal is 30 jars. Thank you for your generosity!

Thursday, June 4, 2015, 11:30am-12:30pm - LEGO Play Time (Ages 4-10) - Have fun playing with the library's LEGO blocks. Please bring a camera to take pictures of your creations!
Thursday, June 4, 2015, 2pm-3:45pm - Children's Film: "The LEGO Movie" (Ages 3-12) - Emmet, an ordinary LEGO minifigure is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person who can save the world. For Intermediate Level English learners. Space is limited to 15 participants. Please arrive early; first come, first served.
Tuesday, June 9, 2015, 3pm: Summer Reading Kick-Off (Children) - Join performer JulieAnn Stepanek for songs and stories about summer. Afterwards, sign up for the NYPL's Summer Reading program and receive free reading logs.
Saturday, June 13, 2015 - Roosevelt Island Day - The Roosevelt Island Library will have a table at the fair for library card registrations, summer reading sign-ups, and the letter writing campaign.
Tuesday, June 16, 2015, 3pm-4pm: Father's Day Craft (Children Ages 3-12) - Create a very special Father's Day card! All materials will be provided. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
